AANA Awards announced, Ambedkarite People's Voice receives Mooknayak Excellence in Journalism Award 2026
Ambedkar Association of North America (AANA) proudly announced the recipients of the 2026AANA Awards during its Annual Retreat held from May 22–25, 2026, at Laurelville Retreat Center inMt. Pleasant, Pennsylvania.AANA Annual Retreat brought together over 230 participants from United States, Canada and India forfour days of Dhamma-centered learning, meditation, panel discussions, workshops, cultural events,outdoor activities, and the symbolic "Run for Equality."
AANA announced the name of Ambedkarite People's Voice for the Mooknayak Excellence in Journalism Award for 2026.
This time, the Dr. Ambedkar International Award 2026 was given to Prof. Atul Bhosekar by AANA, while the Savitrimai Phule International Award 2026 was given to woman advocate Swati Sawant. The board member informed that Bhante Gunaratna was given the Dr. Ambedkar International Lifetime Achievement Award 2026.
Ambedkarite People’s Voice (APV News) Founder and CEO Noratram Loroli expressed his gratitude to the Ambedkar Association of North America, stating that the honor was not merely an award, but an international recognition of journalism dedicated to socialjustice and the voices of marginalized communities.
